From Abergavenny
Continue on A40 as it leaves Abergavenny towards Brecon,
it will pass the Nevil Hall Hospital and continue. You
will get to a town called "Crickhowell". Keep
on the A40 through the town (cheapest petrol station around
is on the right) and continue.
After Crickhowell you will go past a large hotel on the
right "The Manor" and then there is a low stone
wall on the left with a sign "Border collie pups
for sale". Follow this and at the of it there is
a right hand turning by an AA box SP A479 Builth Wells.
Take this (you are now 10 miles from Talgarth). Follow
the road as it climbs up through the mountain. It goes
through Cymdu and Pengenfford and then on the new relief
road until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit
after half a mile take another right to the Town Centre.
You will reach a staggered crossroads.

From Hereford
Take the A438 through Letton and Willersley. On the A438
you will soon need to turn left SP Brecon. Continue through
the village of Winforton, Whitney on Wye, Bronudd, Clyro
and Llowes. After going around a sharpe left bend the
road crosses the river and comes to a T junction at Glasbury.
Turn right signed Brecon and go through "Three Cocks"
you will pass several pubs, a petrol station and a campsite.
On the right will be a Land Rover Garage and shortly after
you take a left hand turning SP Talgarth. Continue on
this road right to the end. You will then be in Talgarth.
Turn left and left again to Town Centre and proceed past
the Nat West to staggered junction. |
