From Abergavenny

Continue on A40 as it leaves Abergavenny towards Brecon, it will pass the Nevil Hall Hospital and continue. You will get to a town called "Crickhowell". Keep on the A40 through the town (cheapest petrol station around is on the right) and continue.

After Crickhowell you will go past a large hotel on the right "The Manor" and then there is a low stone wall on the left with a sign "Border collie pups for sale". Follow this and at the of it there is a right hand turning by an AA box SP A479 Builth Wells. Take this (you are now 10 miles from Talgarth). Follow the road as it climbs up through the mountain. It goes through Cymdu and Pengenfford and then on the new relief road until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit after half a mile take another right to the Town Centre. You will reach a staggered crossroads.

From Hereford

Take the A438 through Letton and Willersley. On the A438 you will soon need to turn left SP Brecon. Continue through the village of Winforton, Whitney on Wye, Bronudd, Clyro and Llowes. After going around a sharpe left bend the road crosses the river and comes to a T junction at Glasbury. Turn right signed Brecon and go through "Three Cocks" you will pass several pubs, a petrol station and a campsite. On the right will be a Land Rover Garage and shortly after you take a left hand turning SP Talgarth. Continue on this road right to the end. You will then be in Talgarth. Turn left and left again to Town Centre and proceed past the Nat West to staggered junction.
From crossroads - Continued from above

Go straight on up by the red phone box which goes up between the Tower Hotel and the town hall (Public Toilets). This road is called the bank and goes up hill and becomes Church Street. Carry on past the graveyard and some cottages and the road splits. Take the right fork SP "Llanelieu" road goes over a small stone bridge (LOOK AT YOUR MILEOMETER). The next turning is exactly one mile from the bridge. Follow the road as it turns left and goes up past some cottages and then left again in front of "Chancefield House" It continues again turning another sharpe left by the old hospital and continues passed some houses until it just becomes hedges and fields. It winds until it straightens out again until you reach a RIGHT turning (very small road) which is in fact the first road junction you have come to. There is no sign follow the road as it climbs steeply past two farms. "Sychnant" on the left and "Pen yr Heol" on the right. Continue until you go over a cattle grid onto the common. About 40 yards after the grid there is a small tarmac road off to the right with a little sign saying "Beth Fedw". This is our drive. Follow over another cattle grid and continue for a quarter mile and we are the only house there.
